Warwickshire County Council’s Country Parks service is keen to find out what visitors think of the services on offer.
Each year the parks service carries out a specific survey and visitors can fill in an online questionnaire anytime throughout the year by going to the website www.warwickshire.gov.uk/parks
This year the survey is focusing on Ryton Pools Country Park and Pooley Country Park. The county council is keen to have feedback on both these parks. There is an on-going arts project at Pooley, and park staff are currently writing the management plan for the site, so they are keen to find out what people want from the park and how they currently feel about it.
At Ryton, the county council is applying for grant funding for improvements and is keen to address any visitor issues and look at future developments. It is hoped that a grant will fund a new café, toilets and an adventure play area, which is desperately needed having been identified in previous surveys.
Both visitor surveys will be undertaken by rangers during week commencing 22nd August 2011 and over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Paula Cheesman, Country Parks Manager, said: “It’s very important that we seek the views of our many customers on a regular basis. Each of our sites has comment and suggestion cards available for visitors to complete all year round but and we do react to those, but once a year it is useful to consult on particular issues and to find out how the general public rate the services we offer.”
She added: “We need to be sure that we are involving our customers and that we give full consideration to the facilities and services they ask for.
