There are enjoyable days out and excellent events on offer at Warwickshire’s Country Parks during September.
All events are contained in the Country Parks booklet which is completely free of charge and is available to download from the Warwickshire County Council website at www.warwickshire.gov.uk/parks You can also pick up a copy from all Warwickshire’s Country Parks visitor information centres, Tourist Information Centres, libraries and some local shops/hotels.
Warwickshire’s country parks are at Pooley Country Park, Kingsbury Water Park, Hartshill Hayes Country Park, The Kenilworth Greenway, Ryton Pools Country Park, The Offchurch Greenway, Ufton Fields Nature Reserve, The Stratford Greenway and Burton Dassett Hills Country Park.

The hedgerows can be edible! For centuries they acted as a wild larder for the rural poor. Join a Ranger on this guided walk and learn some of the remarkable ways our ancestors made use of Nature’s harvest. There will also be a presentation and tasting session at the end.

An evening slide show explaining the fascinating lives of these enigmatic creatures, followed by a night-time stroll with the Rangers to spot the bats of Ryton. Take part in our 3-bat challenge! Pippistrelle, Daubenton’s and Noctule – will we be lucky enough to hear/see them all? Please wear sturdy footwear and bring a torch.
