Choosing the right childcare for your child is a very important decision and you will want to get it right. But where do you start?
Warwickshire Family Information Service has information on all types of childcare from the very young, through to playgroup and preschool. For older children the service can help with advice on before and after school care. Even better this is easily found by going to www.warwickshire.gov.uk/childcareand clicking on the green ‘Find childcare in your area’ button. This will give you the option to search quickly and accurately by postcode, school or name.
Unlike other childcare sites this service is completely free and will give you the most comprehensive search results. All Ofsted registered childcare is listed on the site and you can also link and search for childcare outside Warwickshire.
There are no hidden fees or charges to get further information and you can search as many times as you like.
Emma Harrison, Family Information Service Manager, said:
“Whether it is a child minder, nursery, playgroup, preschool, afterschool club or if you need more specialist help, it is all available through our website and leaflets.
“When making your choice of childcare it is important to visit and ask questions about anything you need to inform your decision. A good childcare provider will expect you to do this!”
Warwickshire Family Information Service can also give advice on getting help with the cost of childcare such as tax credits, childcare voucher schemes and nursery education funding by visiting www.warwickshire.gov.uk/childcarecosts
