Exclusive global products to be showcased at Expo

Next week’s Warwickshire Expo will play host to a variety of exclusive, globally significant products made in Warwickshire.

World renowned gaming company Codemasters will be bringing high-end gaming PCs to demonstrate their hotly anticipated video game GRID 2.  The game is being produced at their Southam studios and is the sequel to the two million+ selling BAFTA award-winning title, to be released on May 31.  For anyone attending the Expo, it is a rare chance to be one of the first to see and play the game.

The Warwickshire Expo takes place on March 21 and 22 at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre. The first day is focussed on careers, education and training, with over 500 school children registered to attend. The second day will concentrate on business networking, and a variety of organisations will be presenting a range of exclusive seminars to help businesses grow.

Jaguar Land Rover, official sponsor of the Expo, will be bringing a Land Rover Discovery and a Jaguar XKR Convertible to demonstrate the breadth of the company’s talents and expertise. Alongside these, the company will also showcase their ‘Primary Schools Challenge’ track for adults and school children alike.

Other company exhibits will include a soapbox racer provided by MIRA, as well as a 3D model of their new Technology Park being built at their HQ in Nuneaton. Automotive consultancy Ricardo will be showcasing their engineering talents using a flywheel display, Rare Games will be presenting their latest games on a Microsoft Xbox Kinect games console, and Mantec will demonstrate their latest products for 4×4 vehicles.

Cllr Alan Farnell, Leader of Warwickshire County Council, said: “The Warwickshire Expo has been months in the planning, and we have gathered over 50 of Warwickshire’s finest organisations to showcase their products, providing an opportunity for them to promote themselves to a huge audience.

“This exclusive event is a prime chance for attendees to see the scope of world renowned expertise that we have right here in Warwickshire.”
