If you go down to the woods today…

……..You are in for a big surprise! Get a date in your diary for Hartshill Hayes Woodland Festival on Saturday 10th September from 10am to 4pm.

A great opportunity to enjoy Hartshill’s spectacular woodland scenery as it comes to life. Visitors will be able to experience a wide range of activities from hands on willow weaving by the reclaimed Spencer Jenkins through to chainsaw carving, hands on wood turning and family drop in activities. Active woodland management will also be taking place by our forestry team which will give people the opportunity to learn more about country parks woodland management.

If you are feeling hungry the rangers will be selling baked potatoes cooked over an open fire which can be enjoyed sitting on our timber seats in the woods.

Set in the woodland landscape of Hartshill Hayes Country Park, it’s a great day out for all the family. Car Parking is just £2.00 so come down and support your local park. Some of the activities may be chargeable.

Anyone who wants to find out what will be going on in their area or wants a free copy of our ‘what’s on’ booklet should visit their nearest country park or
