Winter walks and more in Warwickshire country parks

winter_walkAlthough the clocks have gone back, and the weather has turned colder, Warwickshire’s Country Parks are still a great place to visit over the Winter months.

Especially as at our premier site, Kingsbury Water Park, we are now on our ‘Winter tariff’ which means it’s only £3.00 to park all day. This represents exceptionally good value, and although some of our concessions are finished for the season, you can still enjoy 2 great play areas, as well as: feeding the ducks, orienteering, having a go at keeping fit via our trim trail, chasing Pokemon, cycling, walking, or going fishing.

Big Frank’s Bike hire is also remaining open through the Winter at Kingsbury Water Park and Ryton Pools Country Park. They will open at 10am and close according to light hours, approximately 4pm. However opening is dependent on the weather so if you want to double check the opening hours, please call 07977458799.

If you fancy a great woodland walk, then Hartshill Hayes is the place to visit. In Warwickshire, there isn’t a lot of woodland open to the public so this is a great place to come along and enjoy the changing Autumn colours, let the kids burn off some energy in the play area and then finish off with a lovely cup of hot chocolate from our kiosk.

Ryton Pools Country Park has just opened its new Pirates Play area for the younger children, so if you haven’t had a chance to explore it yet, now is a great time!
