All Warwickshire County Council libraries and one stop shops, except for Stockingford Library and Warwick Library, will be closed all day on Wednesday 25 January to enable staff to attend a training day.
Community- managed libraries that are run by local community groups will be open as usual, and online library services will remain available at warwickshire.gov.uk/libraries, where customers can browse the catalogue, renew items and use the reference library.
Services will be available as usual at Stockingford Library, 8.30am-5pm, and Warwick Library, 8am-5.30pm.
All Warwickshire County Council library and one stop shop services across the county will resume with normal opening hours on Thursday 26 January.
Councillor Kam Kaur, Warwickshire County Council Portfolio Holder for Customer Services, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience to our customers caused by the one-day closure of many Warwickshire libraries. Staff will be receiving important training which will allow them to provide an even better service in the future.”
Councillor Matt Western, Chair of Resources and Fire and Rescue Overview and Scrutiny Committee, said: “The training day will enable library staff to deliver an improved service, and we hope that the availability of services at Warwick and Stockingford, community-managed libraries, and the 24/7 online library service, will keep disruption to a minimum for customers.”
