Warwickshire County Council’s Library Service is delighted to announce the return of its much loved festival bringing families together with local writers and storytellers.
Schoolchildren will have the opportunity to meet authors in the week before half term and families can enjoy interactive storytelling from a range of performers during the half-term break.
The much acclaimed actors from the Highly Sprung Performance Company will bring “Mischievous fairies and long tails” to five libraries below:
- Nuneaton Library on Saturday 20th May;
- Rugby Library on Saturday 27th May;
- Atherstone Library on Wednesday 31st May;
- Southam Library on Friday 2nd June; and
- Leamington Library on Saturday 3rd June.
In each venue, there will be repeat performances at 10am, noon and 2pm, surrounded by a range of activities for children relating to quirky fairytales and, best of all it is totally FREE to attend
Stella Thebridge, Principal Librarian and festival coordinator, said:
“It is always a privilege to welcome such talented writers and performers to our libraries and to see the excitement on the faces of audiences of all ages. We look forward to welcoming families to libraries across the county, whether regular library user or are visiting for the first time.”
