An exciting opportunity is available to operate a ticket office and community café at the new Kenilworth Station building set to open in December this year.
Warwickshire County Council has worked with London Midland to develop the station building and now London Midland is seeking a tenant to operate the ticket sales and café facility. These are housed in approximately 920 square feet of the new station building. The two facilities consist of a sales counter, a kitchen area, a seating and waiting area, plus an office and customer toilet.
Cllr Jeff Clarke, portfolio holder for transport and environment, said:
“This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the exciting Kenilworth Station project which is set to bring so much to the town.
“There’s a real buzz in the local community – I recently visited the site which now features nearly 350 posters designed by schoolchildren from nine Kenilworth schools. It really sets the tone for what the station will be; something that belongs to all of the community. And the station will feature a community café and hub rather than a standard ticket office, reflecting the community feel.
He continued: “This is clearly a very attractive business proposition for the right person who understands what a key role a vibrant community focused café will have for the town. We would be delighted to see local people among those looking to take on the tenancy.”
