Warwickshire County Council has had to make the decision to close Nuneaton Library to the public for an additional three days next week on the advice of contractors.
Essential maintenance has been taking place on the roof, with the current covering being removed. Technical difficulties have meant that the work has had to be delayed.
In order to keep customers safe, the library will be closed from 9am to 3pm next Monday (13 Nov) to Wednesday (15 Nov), during which time the library will be closed to customers. It will reopen at 3pm until 6pm on each of these days and resume normal opening hours from Thursday to Sunday.
Temporary drop boxes are in the porch for the convenient return of books and customers are being advised that they are able to use other local libraries.
Cllr Kam Kaur, portfolio holder for Customers and Transformation, said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the additional closure but the wellbeing of our staff and customers has been our primary concern throughout this work.”
