School caterers, Educaterers, have expanded their online presence with further sections added to their www.educaterers.co.uk website.
The website was launched at the end of last year following Educaterers’ establishment as a Local Authority Traded Company – the first for Warwickshire County Council.
It now includes an improved recruitment section, including current vacancies and employee benefits, plus a focus on one of their staff members, Debbie Dyker, who is Catering Supervisor at Woodloes Primary School in Warwick, to demonstrate the progression that Educaterers staff can make.
Debbie started her career in the school meals service as a catering assistant in 1994. Two years later, she was promoted to Catering Supervisor at Woodloes Infant School. When the school joined the junior school to become a Primary School in 2009, Debbie moved across to manage the service for the new school and has been there ever since.
Debbie says: “If you have a keen interest in food, enjoy working with young people and have a flexible, can-do attitude then I would strongly recommend a career with Educaterers.”
There are currently a number of vacancies for Cooks, Catering Supervisors, Catering Assistants and Mobile Catering Assistants across Warwickshire.
The website also has a brand new ‘News’ section and ‘Downloads’ section where you can find the new Educaterers company brochure and Recipe Booklet, which has been developed to help pupils and their families re-create some of the school meals they enjoy at home and encourage healthy eating.
There is also an improved ‘Who We Feed’ section where visitors will find sample menus for nurseries, primary and secondary schools.
Educaterers took over the delivery of school meals from Warwickshire County Council in September last year and their website showcases the services offered by the specialist contract caterer with over 60 years’ experience in the education sector. Educaterers serve over 120,000 meals to school children in 195 schools every week.
Terry Tredget, Director of Catering at Educaterers said: “Our website tells not only our story as a company and our dedicated staff teams but also the story of our food, from farm to fork. We hope these further improvements provide our existing and potential school clients and catering staff with even more useful information about what we do and how they can join with us.
“Headteachers, governors and parents all want to be assured that their children’s food is of the highest standard and we hope the website gives a flavour of the innovation that goes into our menu preparation.
“If you are thinking of joining the catering sector or moving roles, I’d encourage you to look at our staff pages and recruitment links.”
