Summer fun at Warwickshire’s country parks!

Warwickshire County Council’s Country Parks are all set for a bumper summer this year. With a programme packed full of activities to entertain the kids over the summer holidays, ranging from mini beast hunts to making your own fabulous flying fishy windsock; there is bound to be something to please everyone.

During the summer months, Heartbreak Productions will be appearing at Kingsbury Water Park and Ryton Pools Country Park to perform some outdoor theatre. Tickets are available for these wonderful evening performances here:

Kingsbury will also see the return the outdoor cinema on 11th August: this year residents are invited to watch the latest Jumanji film.

The café at Kingsbury has a brand new ‘big green egg’ which is a kamado-style ceramic charcoal barbecue cooker. The Egg is a versatile cooking device capable of acting as a grill, oven or smoker. The café will be dishing up some very tasty food for people to try!

Some of these events will now be listed on Eventbrite and you can book on at any time of the day or night:

If the activities aren’t for you and you are looking to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the beautiful weather, why not take a stroll, feed the ducks or cycle around one of the parks for a great day out.

Councillor David Reilly, Warwickshire County Council Portfolio holder for Environment and Heritage & Culture:

“During the summer months our country parks will host a range of fun and affordable family friendly activities. We are so lucky to have so much green space in Warwickshire so I would urge everyone to get out and enjoy the activities and beautiful scenery the country parks on offer”
