If so, then our crews will be at the following locations to discuss the consultation and answer any questions you may have about the proposals being made.
Rugby Library on Monday 20th May from 9.00am to 1.00pm
Rugby Town Hall on Thursday 23rd May from 11.30am to 4.00pm
Rugby Council House on Tuesday 28th May from 2pm to 5.00pm
As part of the events, residents will be asked to give their views on how they feel about the proposal and to understand the rationale around why it is being made. They will also be able to talk to the crews about the impact new developments in the south of Rugby will have on the fire services ability to meet its response standards in the future and the benefits that building an additional fire station will bring.
Talking about the consultation, Deputy Chief Fire Officer for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service, Barnaby Briggs said: “It is really important for us to be able to engage with communities around any proposed changes to how we plan for and manage risks in the county. Therefore I would urge you to go along to one of the above events and speak to our firefighters about the proposal to build an additional fire station and fill in the survey to help shape the future of your fire and rescue service.
“Your views are essential to this process. The more informed we are by your views, the better able we are to understand your expectations and deliver positive outcomes for the communities of Warwickshire. So please do take part and have your say.”
