At 0053 hours on Thursday 25th May 2017 Fire Control received several calls to a barn on fire in Top Road, Barnacle. Crews from Bedworth and Nuneaton were mobilised. Upon arrival crews confirmed that the building was 100% alight and further assistance was required due to lack of water. The Water Bowser from Coleshill and two appliances from West Midlands were also mobilised to assist. This fire involved a single storey agricultural building approx 20 m x 20 m used as a stable. there was also heat and smoke damage to 5% of a neighbouring building. Fire crews used hose reel jets, hydrant, covering jet, 45 mm hose, 70 mm hose, lighting, thermal imaging camera, water relay and the water bowser to deal with this incident. 4 LPG cylinders and 1 oxygen cylinder were removed from this incident but were unaffected by fire. The last fire engine returned at 0411 hours.
