Summer holiday activities

Football, cricket and basketball are just some of sports on offer to young people in Warwickshire this summer thanks to the Positive about Young People programme.

Snax ‘N’ Sports is open to 8 to 13-year-olds free-of-charge between 25 July and 2 September and includes a selection of snacks. A range of other young people led activities are also on offer.

The drop in sessions will run either between 12.30pm and 2.30pm, or between 3.30pm and 5.30pm depending on the location. Parents are advised that young people can leave whenever they wish.

Stephen Davenport, Commissioning Manager for Positive about Young People, said: “Snax ‘N’ Sports is always very popular and offers a fantastic range of activities that reduce boredom and keep young minds active during the summer break.”

Young people taking part in the programme will need to get parental permission forms signed at their first session.

Positive about Young People have also commissioned many other voluntary organisations to deliver a variety of programmes throughout the holidays for children of all abilities.  In partnership with Stratford District Council, funded via the Big Lottery, PaYP will also be providing Mobile Skatepark sessions in the Stratford district.
