Stunning musical opportunities for everyone!

Community Band smallDid you know that there are two fantastic community music making opportunities for people of all ages in the Nuneaton and Bedworth area? Warwickshire County Music Service (CMS) has been providing outstanding music education and activities for school pupils for many years and have given thousands of pupil’s opportunities to experience first class music making.

This opportunity is extended to people aged from 8 – 108 to join CMS’s Community Choir and Community Wind Band. Both groups are looking to expand and new members would be most welcome.

Do come along to our friendly and exciting open rehearsal on Thursday 14th May, free cake and refreshments will be provided!

Both groups take place on a Thursday at Milby Primary School and start at 6.30pm. There is a nominal charge of £30 a term.

If you are unable to attend the open rehearsal, please feel free to turn up to a rehearsal any Thursday.

Community Choir smallCommunity Choir offers a fun and welcoming environment to come together with like-minded individuals to while away a summer evening. Both male and female voices are welcome and music reading is not essential. The choir sings under the leadership of the inspiring Andrew Ella and sing a very varied range of repertoire from Mozart to The Jackson 5.

Any type of singer is welcome! Whether you sing in the car, in the shower, are a karaoke novice or have musical training you will be able to find your voice a home in the choir.

Do you have a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument at the back of your cupboard or in the loft, gathering dust, longing to be played? If you have played an instrument previously then Community Wind Band is the place to blow out the cobwebs and experience the buzz of playing in a group. Under the leadership of the talented Dan Sanford-Casey, the band plays a wide range of music.

Both Community groups do regular performances at local churches and venues such as the Civic Hall in Bedworth.
