Foster carers fostering for Warwickshire County Council enjoyed a great family fun day, dedicated to those who contribute to the fostering role.
The family fun day, organised by Warwickshire County Council, provided fostering families with a fun day out for people of all ages. Aimed at foster carers, birth children, children looked after and anyone who has contributed to the fostering role, there was a wide range of activities to enjoy, including bouncy castles, party games, petting zoo and live performances from some familiar Disney princesses. The day also featured a special guest performance from Bradley Hunt from Bratavio who you may recognise from X Factor. Bradley grew up in a fostering household with his parents fostering over 100 children over the years.
The event was an opportunity to celebrate all of the hard work that foster cares and their families have done over the past year to support the looked after children of Warwickshire. It also served as a chance for all the fostering families to meet up, developing a strong network of peer support for each other.
Councillor Jeff Morgan, portfolio holder for Children Services, commented:
“Warwickshire foster carers provide an incredible service to our children and young people looked after.
“Events like this fun day are a great way to say thank you for all they do and gives them an opportunity where carers and children alike can relax and just have a great time”
