Cabin fire, Birchmoor Road, Polesworth

Firefighters were in attendance at a cabin fire near the grounds of Polesworth High School for almost six hours through the early hours of March 29. The large shed building fire started at about 2.15am on March 29, and crews were in attendance until almost 8am. The cabin fire was initially tackled by firefighters who call for more support after it spread to nearby hedges and connifers, and there were also reports of gas cylinders and fireworks stored in the building. The cylinders were safely removed from the building and fire crews finished dampening down at about 8am.
