Petrol Tanker Fire – Trinity Road, Kingsbury

At 16:45pm Warwickshire Fire Control received a call to a petrol tanker on fire, Trinity Road, Kingsbury, appliances from Coleshill, Atherstone, Polesworth and Tamworth were mobilised along with the Incident Response Unit and supporting appliance from Nuneaton, the Environmental Protection Unit and supporting appliance from Alcester and the Foam Tender from Coleshill. An infirmative message was received at 17:21 pm stating that the incident invovled 1 Light Goods Vehicle tanker parked in a layby, there was a small fire located under the tractor unit by the cab are, the fire was out and the electrics to the tanker had been isolated. A scania recovery company had been contacted to assist with the removal of the tractor unit of the tanker, the Police were also on scene. One appliance from atherstone remained in attendance until 18:20 pm assisting the mechanic to release the tractor unit from the trailor, while all other appliances were stood down.
