At 18:45 hours on 28th April, Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service received 10 emergency 999 calls to reports of a flat fire at Dempster Court, Church Street, Nuneaton. Two appliances from Nuneaton were initially mobilised and a fire cover officer. A request for further assistance was received at 18:52 for a further appliance as there were reports of a person trapped in the flat. The third appliance was mobilised from Bedworth. An informative message was received at 18:56 hours stating a building of 3 floors, approximately 40M x 10M, used as residential flats. The fire located in downstairs hallway. One person has been rescued by Warwickshire Fire service personnel, crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet. At that time crews confirmed that all persons were now acounted for. The electricity board and local authority were also requested to attend.
