Warwickshire Fire Service were alerted at 2204 hrs on Friday 26th April 2013 to wood on fire at Windmill Farm at Oxhill. 1 appliance mobilised from Wellesbourne. At 2223 hrs an assistance message was received requesting a further 2 appliances and a water bowser to attend, 1 appliance from Shipston and 1 appliance from Stratford and a water bowser from Leamington Spa was mobilised. At 2231 hrs an informative message was received stating a large ammount of wood on fire approx 50 metres away from a building and fuel store, a further informative was received at 2318 hrs stated approx 40 tonnes of stacked timber well alight with a surrounding risk of fuel store and building, 2 x 45mm jets and water relay in use, crews will be detained an unknown ammount of time. A stop message was received at 0119 hrs with a request for 2 relief crews, relief applainces were sent from Alcester and Nuneaton. Appliances had returned to stations by 0530 hrs with a further reinspection was requested for 0700 hrs with an appliance from Stratford mobilised and this crew was detained until 1216 hrs damping down further hotspots.
