A call was received by the Emergency Fire Control Room to a vehicle fire between Junction 13 to 12, southbound M40 at 04:33 hours this morning. Two fire engines from Leamington were mobilised. Upon arrival, the fire crews found a vehicle on the hard shoulder with a small fire at the rear of the vehicle. Crews extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel and 1 dry powder extinguisher. The owner of the vehicle received minor burns to hands during the incident. They received first aid from Fire crews prior to the arrival of the Ambulance Service. The crew were in attendance for approx 40 minutes.
