Camper Van fire, Main Street, Farnborough

At 13:00 hours on 27.9.14, a call was received by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service Emergency Control Room to a fire in a rear garden on Main Street, Farnborough.  One fire engine from Southam was mobilised.  Upon arrival, fire crews found a large camper van on fire.  Overhead electric cables were a hazard but did not become involved in the fire.  Hydrants and hose reel with breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire.  Fire crews were detained for approximately 3 hours.
