At 23:53 hours on 26.12.14, a call was received in the Emergency Control Room of Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service to a road traffic collision involving one private motor car on the M6 motorway, between junctions one and two on the northbound carriageway.
One car had left the motorway and was up the embankment. One casualty with possible spinal injuries required extricating from the vehicle using clan lucas cutting equipment. Two fire engines from Rugby Fire Station attended, along with Police, Ambulance and Highways.
The casualty was released by fire fighters and was handed over to the care of the Ambulance Service. Fire fighters were in attendance for approx 1 hour.
