House Fire – Oldberrow Lane, Henley-in-Arden – 5 fire engines attended

Warwickshire Fire Control received a number of 999 calls to a house fire on Oldberrow Lane, Henley-In-Arden. The calls were received at 2:25pm on Thursday 28th May 2015. One fire engine from Alcester and one from Stratford-upon-Avon attended. Upon arrival they confirmed roof was well alight and requested a third fire engine, this was mobilised from Redditch. A further request was made for a water bowser which attended from Leamington Spa and another fire engine was requested which attended from Leamington Spa, who were covering Stratford area. The incident involved a two storey house approximately 20 metres by 10 metres, the fire was located in the roof space. The fire is being extinguished using main jets, hose reels supplemented by hydrants and the water bowser. A further appliance was requested to assist with salvage operations. Crews are still currently in attendance.
