At 12:34 earlier this afternoon, Service Control received a total of 9 emergency calls reporting a car fire on the M40 motorway. The incident was located between Junctions 15 and 16 on the northbound carriageway. One appliance from Leamington and one from Southam attended. The incident involved a vehicle which was well alight. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire. Crews were committed at the incident for over 1 hour.
