Double decker bus Fire, M6

Warwickshire Fire Control received a number of 999 calls to a double decker bus on fire on the m6 at 3:05pm today.  Two crews from Nuneaton, one from Bedworth and a water bowser from Coleshill were mobilised to the incident.  On arrival fire crews confirmed that the bus was well alight and that everyone had been evacuated from the vehicle.  Fire fighters used breathing apparatus, water and foam to extinguish the fire.  The fire has now been extinguished and crews are standing by while the recovery of the vehicle takes place.  Police and highways officers are in attendance.
