At 16:39 hours on 26.5.16, a call was received in the Emergency Control Room of Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service to an out of control fire in the open off Coventry Road, Aldermans Green. One fire engine from Bedworth Fire Station was mobilised initially but the fire fighters soon realised that they would require a further appliance to assist them to deal with the incident. A second fire engine was then sent from Nuneaton. Fire fighters used hose reels and farm machinery to form a fire break and a water relay was also in use. Crews were detained for approximately 2 hours.
