Road Traffic Collision, M40 Southbound- two fire engines attending

Following an emergency call received at 16.54 hours today, Sunday 27th, two fire crews are attending the southbound carriageway of the M40 motorway between junctions twelve and eleven.  The emergency call stated that a vehicle was on fire following a road traffic collision.  Upon arrival there was no fire but the fire crews requested the attendance of the Ambulance service to assess two casualties who were travelling in the vehicle when it was in collision with the central reservation.   The Police are also attending the incident and the crews expect to be detained for a further five minutes.
