At 17:52 hours on the 28.11.16, calls were received into the Emergency Control Room of Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service. Two fire engines were mobilised initially, one from Atherstone and one from Nuneaton. Upon arrival, fire fighters found a one storey barn conversion which was adjoined to another property. A fire was found in the roof space. Fire crews used breathing apparatus, hose reels, small gear and ladders to begin dealing with the incident. A third fire engine was also mobilised from Polesworth, along with a specialist water carrier for extra water supplies. Approximately 50% of the roof space in the barn conversion was affected by fire and 50% of the adjoining property was affected by water. A thermal imaging camera was used to trace hot spots throughout the building. No-one was injured during the incident and fire crews were detained on scene for approximately four hours.
