Controlled burning – Judkins Quarry, Tuttle Hill, Nuneaton – One Fire Engine Nuneaton attended

At 1800hrs Tuesday 24th January, Fire Control received a few calls to a large fire in the distance north of Nuneaton.  One crew from Nuneaton attended and located a large amount of rubbish which was ten metres by ten metres .  This was identified as being located on Judkins Quarry, Tuttle Hill, Nuneaton.  Fire Fighters confirmed that this was a controlled burning of a large quantity of rubbish and was being supervised by the landowners.  Fire crews left the scene as it was safe to do so.  It is anticipated that this will burn well into the night, and will be visible to members of the public.  This fire has no surrounding risks and is under supervision until it burns out.
