Factory Fire, Southam Road, Radford Semele – Three fire engines attended

Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service control room received a 999 call at 00:17 on Wednesday 31st January reporting the roof of a factory on fire on Southam Road in Radford Semele. Two fire engines from Leamington Spa were initially mobilised. Once crews arrived they requested a third fire engine to attend the incident, this was mobilised from Southam. The incident involved a single storey building measuring 30 metres by 15 metres in size, the fire was located in an extractor above a furnace. Firefighters used ladders to access the fire and used hose reels to extinguish it. A message was received from the fire ground at 00:56 stating that incident was under control. All crews had returned to station by 01:25.
