Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service fire control received the first of two 999 calls at 18:38 on Sunday 26th August reporting smoke coming from a building under construction on Wood Street in Leamington Spa. Two fire engines were mobilised from Leamington Spa. The incident involved a building under construction consisting of three floors measuring 25 by 25 metres in size. The fire was located in the underground car park. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
